One of the best ways to see what Beyond Uganda is all about is hands on in the field. Each year, we take a couple trips not only to the heart of the area we are called to in Uganda but to other countries around the world as well. We truly believe that taking that step of faith out of your own comfort zone and into the Kingdom work of serving others is life transforming for people of all ages.

We focus on short term mission trips for seasoned and non seasoned travelers. And the trips are open to people of all ages. On a Beyond Uganda trip, you can expect to feed the poor, worship with the locals, and love on as many children as you can. The most powerful thing you can provide is the love of Jesus. Along your trip, we make it a point to show you the culture and sites of the the country you are in to better understand the people you are serving.

Take a look at the trips available this year, then pray about how God would move you to join us. Then simply go on the adventure of a lifetime!!! See you on the mission field.

The 2018 Mission Trips are being planned.

We currently have 4 trips scheduled for 2018:

March 3/2 through 3/12 (Limit 12-15)

The theme for this trip is WORK!.  Led by Brent Housman our goal is to support the organization in Uganda and spread God’s word throughout the area.  We will primarily cover the Bugiri and Namayemba area of Uganda and hopefully do some construction while we’re there.  More details will be available as preparation for this trips proceeds.

March 30 – April 7
This trip is being led and sponsored by Starfish Orphan Ministries of Paducah.  God has led Starfish to feed an entire village in Uganda, the Karamojong village.  Ben Gurrola of Beyond Uganda will accompany Starfish staff to provide guidance in country on this maiden trip.  This feeding program is a long term commitment for Starfish and they plan to have many other trips in the future.  Several of our BU kids have come from the Karamojong tribe which has given BU some insight into the needs of this tribe.  This will be a great trip to share God with a people that truly need to know Him.

June 2018

The dates are not set yet but this will be our summer trip for Beyond Uganda.  We will surely be spending time at the office, on the new land and with the women and children we serve there.  These trips always make a huge impact on the lives of those we grow to know and love in country.  This trip will likely be led by Capulan Gurrola and will be limited to 15 people.

September 2018

This will be our first medical mission trip with the sole purpose of supplying much needed medical exams.  Planning for this trip has already begun and will require you have a medical background to participate.  Debbie Cornwell will be planning and leading this trip. Debbie has been a nurse for 27 years working primarily with women and children. Most importantly, Debbie really loves the Lord.  She works daily at Beyond Uganda and has a huge love for God that is obvious if your fortunate enough to spend any time around her.  This trip like the others will likely fill up quickly.  If you’re interested in this ministry opportunity please send Debbie an email, You will hear back from her soon!

If your interested in any of these trips please fill out the application (Get your application here..).  Filling out the application does not obligate you to making the trip but simply allows us time to review and pray over each applicant.  Ok, you’ve got it done?  Now what?  Send it with an email to or turn it in to the Heartland Worship Center office.  You can also deliver or mail it to our new office at:

Beyond Uganda
2920 Lone Oak Rd Suite 3
Lone Oak, KY 42003

We limit the size of these trips so get your application and deposit in early.  The cost for these trips vary from year to year and season to season.  The summer trips are normally $1500 more simply due to the cost of airfare.  An average summer trip will be around $3500, maybe more, maybe less.  All our trips include lodging and food in country.  The cost of food while traveling is at your expense.  There will be mandatory meetings scheduled for each trip to help build the team and inform you of what you’ll need to prepare for and pack.
